This short documentary presents the solo performance “Eva”. It is a contemporary dance performance, realized by Evangelia Randou, who is a professional dancer and performer. The performance is based on her personal life and has been created and executed by her. The documentary focuses on the preparation for the performance and the way, in which the dancer works on an idea, while it is also enriched with interviews. Through the camera’s lense, the moments when the dancer creates and improvises are unveiled. Thus, she looks through her inner world, in order to manage to incorporate in her performance and share with the audience everything, of which she consists. The project comprises a portrait of the dancer herself, as well as of the work she creates. The goal was to record, with a realistic and poetic approach, what lies behind a performance, that is, everything a spectator does not know.
