Aghia Irene (Saint Irene) is a ferry that connects the island of Corfu with the mainland of Greece. The movie follows the shift of one of its daily itinerary during winter time, through our perception as regular passengers and its crew’s.
Evgenia Pouli started her studies in audiovisual arts in 2014, in the Audio Visual Arts department of the Ionian University. She has been interested in photophotography and participated in group exhibitions in Corfu and Athens. The past four years is focused on filmmaking and theater direction, participating in several performances, short films and series. Marina Satanaki enrolled at the department of Audio Visual Arts in 2014. Her primary focus is photography. She is, also, interested in music. Currently, she is working on her first documentary short film. Melina Schina started her studies in the Audio Visual Arts department of the Ionian University in 2011. She focused on drawing and photography and has participated in various group exhibitions in Corfu and Athens. Since she returned to her academic studies a few years ago, her focal point is relocated on forms of the moving picture, especially documentary.
